How to Listen So Others Will Speak

April 16, 20266:00 PM – 8:45 PM CT

Say “communication” and many think of speaking and writing to share ideas and perspectives. While SEs must make their intellectual contribution, their first responsibility is to elicit and facilitate the thoughtful contributions of others. For SEs, the first concept in communication must be listening.

This presentation frames a more effective communications toolkit centered around active listening. It addresses the conceptual why as well as the practical how to listen so others will speak.
